I like the 17's. 
Had one of the first,way back when all ya could get was a barrel
from GM to convert your Ruger 77/.22Mag to 17HMR.
I've used a 17HMR for Ground hogs and squirrels the past
few years. Head shots are the best for either.
Got a couple 17Hm2's now,ones a 77/22 converted use'n a GM
barrel,the other is a converted 10/22,use'n a reamed out
17 Hi Standard to 17Hm2.
Both shoot good ,but all I've shot is paper.
The 17's are here to stay,just to good not too.
