Jim does nice work doesn't he? I suppose he is still at Alpha Precision.
How do you like the Tac Sol upper?

Yes Jim is still at Alpha Precision, his work is absolutely top notch, and he lives in Comer, GA which makes him a neighbor of mine, about a 20 minute drive from my parents house. I love the Tac sol upper, it shoots like a dream, the integrated scope mount and rear sight is trick as hell, and it is very light on that 22/45 frame, but it is not so light I that I can't hold it steady, the 8" barrel gives me a long sight radius and I can shoot it really well. It is the gun that is with me almost 100% of the time, I carry it in a special pocket on my daypack with a 100 rounds of dynas, it has killed more than one critter for the pot too. On a trip to Texas me and my son kept the whole camp in fresh meat with our pistols him shooting the single six and me the 22/45. I take a lot of ribbing for it being purple but that was the only color avalailable in the 8" and it shoots the same as any other color I reckon.

I was kinda thinking of a Tac Sol upper (to reduce weight) on a 22/45 that would wear a scope or Ultradot.
I understand the Tac Sol barrels are very accurate.

I have never measured groups but I really don't have too, mine is more accurate than I can shoot it. If all tac sol products are like mine I can't say enough good things about them, my gun is perfect for what I want it for. Chris
