I thought that it was mainly an upgraded BB and would cost accordingly. Man...I could buy a BB AND a CM-2 and maybe even a CM-2 Cadet for that much. Dang... Did I miss something? What makes it so much more?

Actually the rifle in the photo isn't exactly the one I was saying cost a grand. This is what I was talking about

Aaagh...that makes more sense. Thx...I 'm still going to watch for one of those "target" BB's.

Tou, the regular Biathlon Basic does come in a model with aperture sights and I have contacted Terry Stanley at Saigacentral and told him I want one. As soon as he gets one, I'm on it. My BB is just too accurate to not use as some sort of match rifle. If the trigger was readily/easily adjustable like on the CM-2, that would be the bomb!

What does the Biathlon Basic with target sights usually cost? I'd like to have one of those. How much do they weigh ? kirby001

Hey Charlotte,
By all means let me know when they're in.
I guess until then I will keep my eyes peeled for the above shown model. The problem is the two times I've heard of it, it has been from Canadian sources. What I really like about it, is the stock on it...(Not necessarily the magazine box per-se). It's just that the stock is kind of a cross between the BB's & the CM-2's.
Definitely, neat little rifles...it's just a matter of time until I pick up some kind of BB & a CM-2. But as noted, I want to handle one of each first. Thx for all the input Charlotte!
Cheers,

Great post, chalmitch! This makes me think about starting another thread discussing the reasons why we don't have the American made products we want. When did any manufacturer asked you what you want in a product? No one has ever asked me how or what I want in a product. They just make it and sell. If it's what your looking for, you get it. If not you look elsewhere. If they made what people want, they'd sell a lot more.

"If they made what people want, they'd sell a lot more." Aint it so! We rimfire junkies want intersting rifles that shoot and are built to shoot. The sporting stocks are just not ideal for precise shooting. Woe is me. Is Anschutz the only company with brains?
