Rimfire that is!!!
Some of you I recognize , but not all. Since most of my interest is in Remingtons, some of you may not know me if you never paid attention to "that other site's" Remington section.
I'll start this off with mine.... Dwight knows my favorite is a 513S as we've discussed them before. Would sure like to have a 37 though.

If I had to pick one, it would have to be my Anschutz 1710. Accurate, reliable, and beautiful: But, if you were dumpin me in the wilderness and tellin me to walk out, it would be the old Nylon 66.

Remington 37s, what a great gun. I wanted one of these for over 20 years and like everything when your not looking one pops into your life. Mine is special "Why" you ask..well first of all so few 37s were made period that all are special IMHO. But back when I was the BR State Captain for Alabama on the online matches I got to know a very nice person. His name Jerry Lowe or JL and he was the state captain for New Mexico. We hit it right off, sadly Jerry got ill and passed away, it can happen really fast. A year or so later I was offered his Prized Possesion his Remington 37 by his best friend who was selling some of his guns to help out Jerry's Widow. I was thrilled to get the gun..it is sitting 4 feet away and I look at it often and think of JL. Granparem you should post this question in the "Ask Jim" section. Jim W can quote you chapter and verse on more gun info than anyone I have ever met. Take care Dwight...........................and now JL's gun which I am simply the caretaker of;

Alas, I haven't met the rifle that would define me. Right now my love affair is centered on my CM-2 and my CZ 17 HMR Special. I cheat on them both, going to my CZ 452 Special in 22lr and the worlds greatest lever 22, the fabulous Marlin 39A. I'm swapping e-mails with Mac Tilton right now trying to get myself an Anschutz 1811 or similar Annie match rifle and THAT may possibly become my favorite squeeze. Danny, that picture of the porch is so southern. I love it. Pull up a rocker and a glass of iced tea. Southern culture at its best.

Charlotte, Yep, if it ain't movin in my yard somthins gonna grow over or around it before too long. The porch buys me a little time. You can move to another chair before it reaches you. Just don't forget your cold drank when you move .

Right now, my favorites are my Ruger 10/22 "ultimate" and my Valmet finnish lion. For just a good oll walk in the woods, its hard to beat the Remington nylon 66 or my CZ452 style.

Great!!! another Finnish Lion fan!! What model do you have? A good friend has a Model 45 and has allowed me to borrow it on occasion. I shot a match with it in May and won the "metallic sight" class with a 300- 9X. Wonderful, wonderful rifle!! Must weigh at least 18, maybe 19 lbs. Owner says sights look like they should be on a 20mm anti-aircraft gun ;D.

I am like Charlotte. There is no one gun that defines me. My favorite sentimentally is the Marlin model 60. It was my first ever rimfire purchase. It was my first stock refinish. It doesn't shoot worth a squat compared to all the 10/22's I have built. Shot of a barrel swap nothing will change that. I will have to say that my favorite .22 long gun is whichever one I am working on now. Just so happens the one I am working on now is also the prettiest I have ever put together.

The sites on it are very good. I would guess the gun weighs about 12 pounds with out the scope. There is one other guy at the range that shoots a Valmet and he does quite well with it, always top 3 or so at one of the precision shoots I go to.,

I just got my complete action back from Randy at CPC, I have put the BC ,.920 barrel back on the receiver and remounted the 4X12 Nikon, for the time being I put it back in the factory stock due to the fact that I am still working on the silhouette stock I got unfinished from Midway, to say the stock was unfinished was a gross understatement, however, as usual I got on it and today I finished sanding it, tomorrow it gets it first coat of sandable primer. I asked my wife what she thought a good color would be and she answered "pink" ......... needless to say it won't be pink, something between medium brown and chestnut is what we decided on. Have to make a trip to Lowe's later on. When I get it finished I will post pics here. So stay tuned ;D woody

For the $$ The Rom-1969 trainer....But then I got all 3 of mine for $40 each too. (2 are still rimfires) My old Glenfeild 25 for accurate plinking - that and I've had it for 35 years - give or take a few. For attention getting - the Calico M-100 (Sadly I sold the M-100P pistol) Oh, and the 2 10/22s that are of course the go to of choice in a pinch.
Other than that it's usually the one I'm currently working on....which varies.

Here's one of my girlfriends, her name is Wilma. She's a mighty fine Anschutz 1611 with a Weaver T36.
