yup it sure is hot, so hot that after the events of the weekend, and sitting in traffic on 75 today, i "had a moment of blackness" that when i called my g/f and told her, at the next exit.... when i got out of the car, i "fell out" and the muffler shop guy gave me some water. the g/f told me to go to the er, well im out now, the cause, dehydrated and minor heat stroke. a few ivs later and a bottle of water im feeling better. cdevon1200

You know, I like Idaho because even though it's 100*F outside, we only have about 15-20% humidity. Unlike Texas or those surrounding states: 300 degrees and 120% humidity ;D

I was in the Carpenter's shop all day today at the Gas department and it was 95 with the air conditioning blowing at full blast. Every time you stepped outside, you were reminded that the humidity was about 100%. Needless to say every fifteen minuets, we had to release all the built up pressure in the cans of paint-stripper. -Richard E.

This is actually the coolest summer I can remember in my 20 years in Mobile Alabama. it has been right around 90 everyday with moderate humidity....normally it is in the upper 90's and almost 100% humidity!

When I came home from a trip to the farmers market and grocery store this afternoon around 2, the temperature on a dentist's office sign said 109. Being close to a 4 lane blacktop street, I think it may have been about 4 or 5 degrees high.

I live in Albuquerque now because last year I was working nights and at 1:00 AM it was 99 deegrees. In the middle of the stinkin' night! Phoenix is the only place I know of that when the sun goes down, it doesn't cool off! It just gets dark!
My boss just came back from a training class out there and said he saw a bird pulling worms outa the ground with potholders! ;D
July and August are the worst because the temp runs 115 to 118 and because of the Monsoon the humidity runs 70% to 90% depending on the time of day.
I live in the mountains East of Alb. propper and it is a slice of heaven. 7000 ft elevation and still 15 minutes from the heart of the city. Amazingly though, my wife was telling me how hot it was the other day because the house made it up to 85 degrees and we only have a small indoor cooler. You can become aclimatized very quickly!

I really DO feel for you guys. I live just east of a 275 mile long, 85 mile wide, 700 foot deep air conditioner called Lake Michigan. Makes for some very nice summers. Of course, there is always the "lake effect snow" that you hear about all winter on The Weather Channel.......
UPDATE: Well, THIS ought to lose me some karma points:
High today: 78 F. Low tonight: 53 F.
Might have to close the windows tonight or get too cold...... ;D
