Found PDwight's new board by accident while scanning in the 24Hr Campfire. Glad to see another place to talk/read rimfires, especially since a 'select' group seems to be starting in. I've been a scarce presence for a couple of years on RFC. I don't post much, because I don't compete, can no longer hunt, and most of my rf shooting is confined now to backyard sight tests with three old rifles, a Win. 72P, a Rem. 550-1, and a Mossberg 152 carbine. My brother in law is Picher, who is pretty well-known as a 'smith/customizer/competitor in benchrest rf shooting. I'm a bit older than he is, and take some pride in my belief that I fostered him along as a young shooter. One loves to see his students surpass him, as has happened in our case. I love the older rifles...real steel and walnut. An impoverished youth made it impossible for me to enjoy them when the wine was new...but as an old duffer, I can now satisfy my long-ago enthusiasms. Looking forward to interesting discussions on this new board!!!

Thanks for the welcomes, folks. JetGirl, when I was competing in Handgun silhouette back in the 70's, some of the fiercest and most 'competent' competitors were of the feminine persuasion. Guys are suckers to shoot against you, IMHOP! It's that Annie Oakley tradition.
